Summer Journal #1


Let us talk a bit, shall we? Patreon said you guys dig this kind of stuff.

As you can see, I have returned.

Not with an update to BBS2, but with a three part mini-event story featuring Bobby and Jenny (our Jenny). It was commissioned by one of you, a very elegant and well-spoken fella. And it happened to bring me back.

Part 1 is out. It's a small introduction to what's going to play out. It has over 300 images, some solid dialogue (I hope) and a simple but charming short story.

Part 2 should be out before halloween. It's much smaller than part 1, but spicier. It'll cut straight to the point very fast.

Part 3 is basically sex. Quite a bit of it. It is going to be bigger than part 2 (though shorter than part 1) but it's almost just sex. It's the first time I'm going to draw Bobby engaging in sex. (we'll see how it goes)

All these scenes and events will eventually be a part of the main game, okay?

I hope you enjoy, I think (our) Jenny is looking as cute as fu**. I'm trying to flash out her personality and relation towards Bobby. I'm trying to keep the humor on point, I haven't wrote anything in a long time.

I enjoyed it myself. Hope you will aswell.

_ _ _ But what about the main game?

I want to continue it. That simple. I want it so bad, that I've decided to start pulling a second release version (lol) off immediately. What do I mean by a second release version? I want a more solid foundation for future patches. If I'm going to do this, I wanna do it right.

What am I talking about? First, I want the game to be 1920x1080. But I cannot render those old scenes again because I lost most of them. Almost all of them, to be honest. I'm already resizing them, and trying to have them looking sharp (as sharp as possible). I'll have 150 resized renders after today, and the script of day 0 completely remade.

Now what do I mean by that? If you played the part one of the mini-event, you must have noticed that the dialogue boxes (fonts, spacing, etc) are looking a lot cleaner. In the past, each line of dialogue I wrote was thrice the size of its content... filled with indentations, horizontal and vertical spacing, different sizes, and so on. I'm done with that. And I am going to review and simplify the shit out of every single line of dialogue. I'm wrapping up day 0 today.

Lots will change on this second release version. I want it to feel faster, more fluid, condensed, stacked (w/ the good stuff) and more functional. I want the inventory and the market to be working, and I want a working money making system too. I want the stats simplified. The grind cut by half. Enough grinding... I had a thing for repetition back in the day that I don't anymore. I want Bobby being a little worse, if you know what I mean. I need to redo the hints "system" and add a track system. Remake the workflow of many scenes and events (nothing fancy though, just enough to keep it all running better).

And I want to add all the scenes I must add for Ann. And add Jenny.

So the plan is... I need to have all images perfectly resized by the time I'm finished with this mini-event. And I want all base events/encounters (like bathroom encounters, dinning nights, etc) & stats and base mechanics fixed and re-written too.

I will keep you guys informed of it, every journal I'll let you know of my progress.

We'll get there, but it'll take time.
